Q1 - What software does DSI have available for Medical Clinics?

A1 - DataNet's core medical clinic software is called MedServices EMR V5. This is a complete electronic medical records application. We also have the following add on modules:

  1. Donor and Donations
  2. Volunteer and Time
  3. Prescription (full dispensary application)
  4. Patient Assistance Program
  5. Scheduling (patient appointments)
  6. Drug Inventory
  7. Chronic Disease Manager
  8. Patient Imaging
  9. Bill Tracker (only for free clinics to track when they receive bills)

A2 - Yes, It runs on a Windows Server or a standalone PC


Q3 - Is there a limit on how many users can access MedServices?

A3 - MedServices comes with 5 user licenses. You can purchase additional licenses as they are needed.


Q4 - What reports come with MedServices?

A4 - MedServices comes with standard reports. Reports differ with each clinic's needs so we have included a report writer for you to create your own reports which are than saved for future use. If we capture the data, you can report on it.


Q5 - Can MedServices be modified if I request changes?

A5 - Yes. DSI can modify any module to fit a specific clinic's needs.


Q6 - What does the annual maintenance fee cover?

A6 - It covers minor upgrades, patches and PAP applications.

A8 - Yes, references are available upon request.


Q9 - What are the hardware requirements to run MedServices?

A9 - We recommend a Windows 2003 server, XP Home or Pro PC with a Pentium 1000 or higher, 256mg or RAM and 100mg Hard Disk space. The higher the better. Any PC purchased today should be more than sufficient to run MedServices EMR. Microsoft SQL Server is not required but can be used if you already have it. Otherwise, MedServices comes with Microsoft SQL Server Express edition at no additional charge.
